Cantley Property Market Update: Encouraging Signs for Local Homeowners

The Cantley property market is showing encouraging signs in 2026. Completed sale figures remain broadly stable, while more recent sale-agreed activity suggests that buyer demand and pricing have strengthened.

According to Rightmove data, properties in Cantley sold for an average of £220,863 over the last year. Detached homes achieved an average of £336,431, semi-detached properties averaged £163,864 and terraced homes averaged £158,938.

Rightmove reports that the overall average was 2% below the preceding year. This should not be interpreted as meaning every Cantley home has fallen by 2%. Changes in the number and type of properties sold can have a considerable effect on a local average.

More homes reaching sale agreed in 2026

The Property Hive’s analysis of Rightmove sale-agreed listings provides a more current view of market activity.

Comparing sales agreed data from January to August in 2025 and 2026, we've observed an increase in sales of approximately 10%.

The median advertised price at the point of sale agreed also increased, rising from £185,000 in 2025 to £189,950 in 2026. This rise suggests that the market entering the sales pipeline has been somewhat firmer than the completed-sale average alone might indicate.

What's popular with buyers?

Sales agreed in August 2026 show that three-bedroom properties were the most popular, whilst the £150-£200K price range achieved the most sales.

The wider Doncaster market also provides a positive backdrop. The latest HM Land Registry UK House Price Index recorded an average Doncaster price of £170,784 in June 2026, up 4.4% annually.
